Exothermic ThermRods are ideal for precision cutting of nearly all ferrous and nonferrous materials.Stainless, cooper, ceramics and concrete are just some of the difficult materials ThermRods can quickly cut through. Some of the many uses of this versatile product are: removing pins from equipment, bolts, bolt heads and hinges as well as cutting chains and locks, even piercing thick or thin materials. ThermRods are ignited by touching the ThermRod to the MPI striker plate that is attached to a 12 volt battery. Oxygen flow depends upon the size of the rod being used. The recommended flow is 5-9 CFM. Approximate burn time 80-90 seconds. 50 per bundle.
