Dear NASCO-OP Members,

I want to take a moment to communicate openly and transparently about an issue that’s affecting all of us—tariffs. Like many of you, we are feeling the impact of increased tariff activity, and unfortunately, NASCO-OP is not immune.

Due to our cooperative’s thin margins, we are unable to absorb these additional costs. As such, any tariff-related charges from our vendors will need to be passed directly to our members. I want to be clear: these charges will not be marked up or taxed in any way. They will be passed through at cost.

We’ve asked our vendors to clearly separate any tariff-related charges on their invoices so we can distinguish them from standard price increases. Our goal is to ensure you know exactly what you’re paying for and why.

Additionally, we are strongly encouraging our vendor partners to help absorb a portion of these costs, rather than passing the full impact onto the product pricing. While we cannot control the presence of tariffs, we can advocate on your behalf and remain committed to fairness and clarity.
